Plans Division

Mission

The OACSIM Plans Division provides strategy development for installation support with regard to institutional and operational Army transformation for our Soldiers, Families, and Civilians.

Functions

Joint Plans

  • Execute strategic planning for Army-impacted Joint Bases, Joint initiatives, and Expeditionary base operations support, worldwide.
  • Develop and disseminate strategic guidance for Joint Base implementation in conjunction with the Office of the Secretary of Defense and Installation Management Command.
  • Provide master planning expertise to installations and institutions.
  • Provide OACSIM liaison to Quadrennial Defense Review planning involving installation support.
  • Provide OACSIM liaison to Expeditionary base operations support to include Forward Operating Site planning.
  • Lead or assist other Joint strategic planning efforts

Installation Planning

  • Execute strategic and master planning for Army Installations and synchronization of planning in support of the Army Campaign Plan (ACP).
  • Develop, manage, and disseminate installation support strategic planning of Army Transformation Initiatives.
  • Develop and coordinate Generating Force Synchronization Briefings / Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) Drills
  • Provide master planning expertise to installations and institutions

Stationing Planning

  • Manage installation force structure analysis, planning, integration, and requirements determination in support of the ACP.
  • Manage facility support of unit stationing and re-stationing requirements, policy interpretation, and interference identification and resolution.
  • Ensure long range facility planning is synchronized with unit stationing/re-stationing and changing force structure in support of ACP initiatives.

Army Plans and Integration

  • Execute strategic planning and integration in support of the ACP, Grow the Army (GTA) Initiative and Stationing Senior Review Group (SSRG)
  • Manage synchronization efforts of facility support of the ACP.
  • Analyze and plan for implementation of force modernization and Army transformation
  • Lead strategic planning efforts in order to inform and advise senior Army leadership at SSRGs
  • Lead or assist other strategic planning efforts
