Laundry and Dry Cleaning Services (L&DC)

Mission

Prescribe policies and procedures that provide for the management of laundry and dry cleaning services in a fiscally sound, equitable, continuously improving, and environmentally sustainable manner.

Goals

Provide Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment to all units on a non-reimbursable basis and ensure all authorized customers receive the services to which they are entitled.

Recent Updates

L&DC FY14 work set was processed to fully fund the L&DC program at the critical requirements level. FY 14-18 Phased incremental approach was approved for funding of the equipment replacement program at the three remaining Government Owned Government Operated (GOGOs) L&DC facilities.

ISR Reporting - Quarterly to Annual frequency reporting change for the installations.

Installations will be asked annually whether they provide service on a non-reimbursable basis and the volume of service for:

  • Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE).
  • Dining facilities (DFACs) and Troop Issue Subsistence Activities (TISAs).
  • Other reimbursable L&DC, such as uniforms for special detail personnel (honor guards, funeral details); chaplain garments; bed linen in government-furnished quarters used by civilian fire fighters during tour of duty; clothing of prisoners confined at military confinement facilities (if applicable); clothing left by Soldiers due to emergency deployment; etc., per AR 210-130.  Permanent party barracks and other training barracks are not normally provided this service. The installation commander can make an exception to this for special situations such as barracks used for deploying or deployed Soldiers.
